I had completely forgotten that Walt Langkowski appeared in FF 267, so I was a surprised seeing those few pages in the Omnibus. That single panel with the doctor and Reed is still a powerful image.

Just got my copy last night! John Byrne's art is as inspiring as always. Did Byrne do his own inking on this book?

Of course Terry Austin inked the X-men issues, but I do believe that JB inked most, if not all of his Alpha Flight run. If I'm mistaken, I'm sure someone will post.

JB: Of course, I never intended Heather to take on a superhero role. (Or to get breast implants!)

I'd much rather she had never been made Vindicator (or gotten a boob job, apparently off-panel). If the book were to be rebooted, I'd like to see Heather continue to be the book's non-powered heart rather than Mac's replacement.

JB wrote (two pages back):
"At the time I wondered if it was because they so wanted Mac back they were prepared to accept anything."
I, too, fall into this category :-(
