I drew an homage to this one in my 11th grade art class. It was the first time I can remember wanting original artwork on any piece.

Image result for superman 233

Man would I love to see the original hanging on my wall!!

I would need a magic wish just to recall which page I really want. The first time I ever flipped back to see the credits in a comic was an issue of the Fantastic Four. My memory swears it was a page with Johnny flying into Doom's castle that led me to first look to see the name of the artist (John Byron is who I thought it was for the first year or so).

However, when I flip through my comics I can't find anything close to that image in the right timeframe. Somewhere through the years, my brain flipped things around and now I have no way of ever determining what page it actually was that piqued my curiosity.

I suppose it doesn't really matter, but damned if it doesn't bug me.

I'd spend a month going thru and trying to choose some Sal Buscema Hulk images, but the Dale Keown splash from HULK #372 comes to mind automatically...

There are literally two splashes I've seen for sale in the past ten years where I desperately wished I could make my second million already and literally achieve TWO Holy Grail for a mere $16,000-$42,000.

But there can be only one. Because there is only one. Neal F'in Adams.

A bit of a jolt that I've not read so many of the previously posted comics.

My choice would be any page from the dream sequence in Alpha Flight
13.

The page that almost ended my career before it had begun! I saw that when it first came out, and I thought "Who am I kidding? I'll never be this good!"

JB - I think that issue is certainly some on Cockrum's best work  Having Neal Adams help out with the inks certainly didn't hurt, but Cockrum was really on his game in 1974/1975, especially in GS Avengers #2 and GS X-Men #1.
