Truly the highest aspirations of the Annapoli have been rewarded. Such pride of creation must drive Alexander Hamilton and George Washington to pound a tattoo of acclamation against the lid of their caskets.

We have a president who, very bigly, can't handle any kind of criticism towards him. We have multiple protests against him and his policies. I can't see this ending in any way that doesn't resemble Kent from 47 years ago.

I seriously just want to get through the next few years without either him pushing the button and we all go up in a nuclear cloud or ALL rights stripped away and we're living in a country that is no longer recognizable.

Jesus Christ, guys. He just named Steve Bannon for the principles committee of the National Security Council and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the Director of National Intelligence are out.
One step closer...

He can't just do that though. It's illegal to bypass the Senate and just appoint someone to the NSC. It needs to approved. In all seriousness, it's close to treason to do so.
Let's see if the Senate has the balls to call him on it.

I have a friend that works for CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) and this person keeps watch on the Middle East. This person is Lebanese, christian and lived through the muslim/christian "civil war" in the 70's. This person noted a major difference in how these types of conflicts (religious/moral/racial) play out regardless of where they are or who is fighting them. The biggest difference is when the violence comes from the "bottom up" as apposed to the "top down".
When divide leads to atrocity from the ground up, from the average person conceiving and committing these things it doesn't lead to large scale war. In Lebanon, there was killing, murder, etc. divided right down the religious line of christian vs. muslim. The clergy denounced the violence, the media and news coverage denounced it and the government also was apposed to what was happening in the streets.
However, when the government, news agencies and religious leaders back this type of violence it leads to horrible suffering and war. People forget what it is to be human and simply hate the opposition because they are told to hate by the people in charge. I do not see how the US will go through this administration's full term without serious, long term, detrimental fallout. I sure hope I am completely wrong. With family both supporting and apposing Trump I am certain at the very least to loose relationships over all this mess.
Acting Presidential would be to lead by example and many people are taking Trump's lead and his appointments ideology to their grisly end.

We live in the fucking Bizarro World. Spicer references the mosque shooting in Quebec as an example of why restrictions from 7 Muslim nations are needed. The logic being if the Muslims that built the mosque weren't allowed in in the first place, then they wouldn't have been there to get shot, I guess.

Peter, I hate to get involved politically on the 'Net, and avoid it as often as possible, but I have to say I wondered the same thing about Kellyanne Conway:
Kellyanne on Trump in the past.
I wonder if she sleeps well at nights these days?

In his first ten days in office, the Orange One has caused more havoc than the previous 44 have combined.
Folks, shit's going to hit the fan big time.
I would not be surprised if we go to war, the draft would be reinstatement.
