I just received my copy today.  I have some good and bad news.  The contents are not exactly as solicited.  The solicited contents were:

Untold Legend Of Batman #1, New Teen Titans Annual #2, Outsiders #11, Green Lantern Annual #3, Secret Origins Annual #1, World Of Smallville #1-4, Superman Annual #2, World Of Metropolis #1-4, Power Of The Atom #6, Christmas With Super Heroes #2, Green Lantern: Ganthet’s Tale #1, The Flash 80-page Giant #1, Batman: Gotham Knights #2, Dc Comics Presents: Hawkman #1, DCU Brave New World #1 And DCU Infinite Holiday Special #1

Untold Legend of Batman #1 is not included.  Neither is World of Smallville #1-4, World of Metropolis #1-4, Superman Annual #2, or DCU Brave New World #1.  The good news is that Batman 3D is included, for the first time in 2D.  Also included unannounced is Action Comics Annual #6, Batman Adventures Annual #1, Speed Force #1, Hawkman #26, and Superman Through the Ages. The book is 352 pages rather than the 432 pages announced.

I wonder how that happens? Time was, DC would have been required to eat the whole print run, for failing to ship as solicited.

I hope that made it less expensive. I presume it didn't.

BTW, regarding that Hawkman issue -- I thought JB's pencils and Michael Bair's inks together made for some very, very nice artowrk.

Amazon still lists the inaccurate info (but I don't see a page count).  Seems like something that should be fixed.

Cool that they've finally reprinted the Batman 3-D story in 2D (though I have the original 3-D version) but the discrepancy in what was solicited and the page count and so much stuff being left out is bad news. That said, I'll still be picking it up, because it's still a lot of JB goodness.

Bair only inked the cover (which I agree was quite nice - too bad the coloring muted the effect of his work - go check out the pre-colored version if you can). Larry Strucker inked the interiors.

Very proud to have my ten-page Green Lantern holiday story with JB reprinted. It was a special experience for me to get to write (and ink) something for one of my great professional heroes.

JB was very kind and gracious to work with.

(hopefully only a small shadow was cast on this one).

That was a fun job -- and normally I don't care for champagne!

Oh. Well, it was many years ago. And the Byrne/Stucker (it's Stucker, not Strucker, right?) looked great. Like a slightly more "organic" looking version of Byrne/Austin.

Whoops, you're right. Must have had Hydra on the brain!

Too bad about "Untold Legend of Batman" and DCU "Brave New World".

Superman Annual # 2 is reprinted in Man of Steel TPB. # 9

World of Smallville and World of Metropolis is just screaming for a book together with World of Krypton!
