Against the 'Original 7'?
Well, if you want a one-page story, it's up to you.

Brian O - I dunno if that Masters of Evil against the original JLA goes quite that quickly. They outnumber the League two to one, and there are quite a few heavy hitters on that team (and I think one or two aren't even showing... wasn't Grey Gargoyle on that team?)

I mean, it certainly COULD be a one-and-done... but Zemo's a pretty good tactician. It might get interesting.

I agree Eric. Remember the Wrecking Crew members are magically enhanced, so Supes may have trouble. Should move the story up to at least 5 pages  :-)

Depends how you write it. There is a lot of serious muscle on that marvel villain team. And some genius intelligence.

I can see each original 7 handling any 2-on-1 situation easily enough.....except for perhaps Aquaman. Once he goes down it cascades from there, the villains picking off the heroes one-by-one.

Then Aquaman could redeem himself and be the deciding factor for the DC victory.

I wouldn't necessarily count the Wrecking Crew out. Haven't they given Thor some problems from time to time?

I like some of the suggestions other presented, especially Galactus and Loki. However, my choice would be Justice League Antarctica from Keith Giffen's run on Justice League of America vs the U-Foes. I just think it would be hysterical to see the "JLA" bumble their way to victory over Vector, Ironclad, X-Ray and Vapor

One learns something new every day. An Antarctica team? Wow. So I take it Antarctica has a crime and supervillain problem, then? ;-)

Robbie - no. This was during the era of the JLA being a laughingstock, and Keith Giffen, Kevin McGuire, etc. having a riot writing and drawing silly stories, and hating their subject. From the Crisis until Grant Morrison (maybe Dan Jurgens), it seems that everyone at DC hated the Justice League, and took great joy in tearing them down.

Justice League Antarctica was simply another example of "How badly can we treat the Justice League?", in a one shot book.

The era that tried to sell us in-canon Mister Nebula, the Galactus-style cosmic interior designer who was going to redecorate the Earth into non-existence. Because that's funny. Somehow.

Dan Jurgens on JLA and Gerard Jones on JUSTICE LEAGUE EUROPE did play the Leaguers pretty "straight."

By the way, seeing that Buscema/Palmer AVENGERS panel...waves of nostalgia. That really was a great story.

"I'll remember this, Zemo."
