There are certainly points in my life that could easily have gone the other way. If my dad hadn't died, if things had gone differently in some of the jobs I'd taken, if I'd seized some opportunities rather than letting them slide...
But all that said, I've got a wonderful wife, a beautiful daughter, and a life that's really pretty good. I'd like to do some more things before I go, but if I do or don't... I'm okay with what I've had. I'm really very lucky.

That's right, the Vietnam war era draft hung over an entire generation of guys in the U.S. My Dad's band had a bass player for awhile who was a dodger, but later got it properly sorted out. The '70s group Heart was based in Vancouver Canada at first because of one guy's refusal to be selected. I guess we'll never know what artists and musicians etc. we'll never know of in this world. :^(
Am I remembering it wrong, didn't Mike Grell pilot aircraft in the Vietnam war? Could've ended up in that Hanoi Hilton instead of making with the Legion Of Super-Heroes and Warlord comics.
