Are the pink/white Kree a result of Kree interbreeding with humans or are they the result of some type of genetic engineering in which human genes were artificially combined with Kree genes?

I thought they were just comicbook aliens, indistinguishable from humans. Like Superman.

I suspect the question is wondering about them as compared to their blue-skinned brothers.
Are they simply two races of Kree?

To borrow a bit from WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS, this is like wondering where a vampire’s clothes go when s/he turns into a bat. A question best left unasked.

As a child it did occur to me to wonder why some Kree were blue and others were not. As an adult, my reply to myself is "Dummy, Humans come in multiple shades, why not Kree?".

If the OP is interested, this has been explained in the comics. I can't remember if the movies have.

I've alway wonder if the blue Kree were a coloring error. IIRC, the first time we see a Kree they are pink. I think the blue come from a colorist seeing the Sentry was blue and assuming the Kree were blue.

That's what I originally thought, but when I was reading the Marvel Handbook back in the day when I was a kid (which was the first time that I read the back story of the Kree) the Captain Marvel and Kree entry mentioned how the Kree were at an evolutionary dead end (or something like that) and that they came to Earth to run experiments on humans in the hopes to jump start the Kree evolution. IIRC, the entry then went onto say that the pink/white Kree started appearing and outnumbering the blue skin Kree. I was unsure on whether or not the entry was implying that the pink/white Kree were a result of some kind of genetic manipulation or engineering using human genes. I've always wondered did I miss something or misinterpreted those Marvel Handbook entries.

When was this explained in the comics and what was the explanation? I ask, because I'm curious if the explanation happened before or after the publication of the original Marvel Handbook.

The Kree were used to explain the Savage Land, which annoyed the bleep out of me. Does EVERYTHING have to be touching?

From what I recall, the blue skinned Kree are in the minority now but they are the "upper class" because they are pure blooded Kree. That would insinuate that the pink Kree were brought about by...intermixing(?) with other alien species as time went on.
