Urrgg! Awoke this morning with severe GI distress. Something I ate? Literally all I had yesterday was a bagel with cream cheese and some apple juice. Bad combo?Anyway, won’t be making it into the show today. Apologies to all. Should be good for tomorrow. Knock wood!

Hope you feel better soon, JB.
Ted revealed an image somewhere just inside the cover of the new book that I've never seen and blew me away. I've decided I need a lotto win and a willing seller of the original art.

Hope you feel better, JB... I'll be at the show Sunday so unfortunately I wasn't planning to meet you anyways.... hopefully the opportunity will occur in the near future.

Ted dropped by Artist Alley and I saw the limited AA edition. Psyched for my regular edition to show up. Have a great day!

Beware the dreaded bagel with cream cheese, especially after a certain age... my 46-year old wife had one for the first time in months the other day, and the resulting heartburn kept up her up all night!

Glad to hear things went well today!
Since I was "stuck" doing only the West Coast cons this year, I sent one of my most prized possessions in my friend's care to NYCC for a JB signature.

I still feel flyers should be handed out reminding convention attendees of some simple rules of courtesy:• Look where you’re walking or walk where you’re looking. • Eyes UP from the various pads and screens. • Be constantly aware and alert in 360°. • Do not stop suddenly. Move to the side. • Do not cluster in the middle of aisles. Move to the side. • If wearing a costume or carrying cumbersome packages, be aware of the space/volume you occupy.

That last one is particularly important. At this con I was several times slammed into by various wings, shields, robots etc, and once almost stabbed in the eye by a 10 year old randomly thrusting his plywood sword into the air.

Substitute "streets" for "aisles" in the final quoted bullet point, and this list is shockingly similar to my rants about tourists during my stay in Lucca.

This con is always a blur. The weekend was made better by visits from JBF members. Thanks for stopping by the table. I hope that everyone survived the insanity, with theirs intact.
