Sounds like the perfect time to start reading Elsewhen from the beginning again! Thanks for all the fantastic adventures you have shared the last few years, JB.

I hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

JB,

Best wishes and good thoughts headed your way in dealing
with this.

I hope you have the Barbi triplets on speed-dial to serve
as nurses/home health aides for the recovery!

Michael

Like everyone here I am sending good thoughts your way for the surgery and no schedule is too long to wait when we are considering your health, JB. Elsewhen can wait until you are healthy and ready. All my best to you.

We are not machines, please take care of your self first and foremost.  ELSEWHEN has been an unexpected blessing.

Wishing you the best.

How do we access issues older than a year old? I can’t get into any issues
older than that.

Yeah don’t be worrying about us.  If and when you’re ready to share more stuff we’ll be here.  I’m already grateful for what you’ve given us to date…

Best wishes on your procedure and recovery.

I've been trying "studies" of some of JB's ELSEWHEN illustrations (that's a fancy art-school word for copy), in order to learn how to draw (as a hobby).

Man 'o man, if you want to appreciate how amazingly good he is...that's route-one.

To highlight and acknowledge one aspect of his illustrative skill here --- his figure body language is SO good.  Masterclass amazing.  If you ever wonder why so many modern artists have seemingly static and stiff characters (or keep using the same views/poses/mannequin-faces over and over), I think it's precisely this skill they are lacking.  This is why his characters seem so much more alive.  This is why the X-men seem resurrected here.

If I were to guess why he's the best, sure it's the expressive stuff (face & hands), but also because he works so hard on drawing (all) things from multiple perspectives.  For believable body language to work, you can't be limited in how you move it.

My two-cents.

Hmmm... The Issue #31 thread is still unlocked for me, but that could just be an issue (ha) on my end.
