Oh, and if we're name off creations is it fair to name the looks, even if he didn't create the character himself?

For example, in Man of Steel, JB creates new looks for Jor-El, Lara, Lex Luthor and Ma & Pa Kent. He may not have created the characters names, but he did alter them enough they became something else.

Thanos, I don't think JB or even Chris Claremont created the Dazzler. They were handed her, to use to promote in "Uncanny X-Men," as I recall JB writing in the past.

I think Mystique was designed by Dave Cockrum for "Ms. Marvel."

I know people probably already know this, but that site lists that JB created Wolverine, when he was in fact dreamt up by Len Wein and Herb Trimpe with a little bit of input from Roy Thomas.

JB and Chris Claremont really developed the character more in their X-Men run.
