One of the most pleasing aspects of this whole adventure, going right back to when I started posting the pencils in this Forum, is so many people commenting that these are the REAL X-Men for them. It’s a sad commentary on how far off-model the characters have been driven by those who were supposed to be protecting them, but also deeply gratifying to have my versions recognized as the same characters I first met all those years ago.

I agree wholeheartedly - this is the real X-Men for me,
especially Cyclops as the leader.
And the guest stars are worked in brilliantly. Seeing the
FF, Spider-Man, and Avengers appear has such resonance
because of JB's history with those titles. And I
especially appreciated seeing the cast from JB's run on
X-Men, even if it's a glimpse - Jahf, Sunfire, Alpha
Flight.
I loved reading this when it was released a page a day,
but reading this book was an absolute joy. Thank you,
JB!!

Marvel is planning some commemorative reprints for my 50th anniversary with the X-Men next year. I wonder if those would be happening without ELSEWHEN? (Fifty years!! I have lived almost twice as long since then as I had been alive at the time!)

PHOENIX: THE UNTOLD STORY was reprinted back in March, and it seemed timed to segue into the release of ELSEWHEN.

Ah ha, my copy of Elsewhere arrive today! Been waiting
for arrival since the end of June. Beautifully presented
book, very impressive (even the smell of the paper was
evocative ). Happy man today.

Found a couple of people online saying they are not going to start reading until they have all three volumes. So I guess ELSEWHEN has its own version of the “waiting for the trade” mentality!
