Storm has never looked better!
Wolverine is tougher as depicted here, His face is hamburger (and that has to hurt!), but he keeps going.

JB - I think even you have to admit your artwork is at an all-time high! The cool thing is that you don't seem to cruise with your artwork - we can see you still retain that passion. You've really hit your stride as a 'director' of these panels as well. Storytelling is just as good.

Besides being wowed daily by the story and art, one of the things I have enjoyed the most is studying the pencils for inking purposes (I'm one of the artists on the inking thread who has posted inked Elsewhen pages).
I'm fascinated by the fact that whereas other artists simply 'x' in where the shaded or inked areas are supposed to be, JB actually shades all that in. It not only makes the pencils look more like finished pieces in and of themselves, but it's a great learning tool for inkers like me. JB is giving us a great indication of what the finished product* should look like.
*And by 'finished', I simply mean 'inked'. The pencils are so tight they can totally stand on their own!

That panel was indeed Adams like, but I think that it's far more Byrne like. Mr. Adams might consider swiping from you, Mr. Byrne. Your art is a true treasure (and not one to be buried, either!)

I'm sending my oldest son to college next week.
That has no effect on the way it hit me when I just read somewhere that it
takes the combined effort of several superheroes to break the bond of father
and son.

A new day greets us with another amazing page!!!
This reminds me of when my dad used to buy the Birmingham Evening Mail (a local newspaper) and I'd skip straight to the daily Spider-man strip (right after i'd read what Jimmy Connors had been up to on the sports page of course).
Amazing stuff Mr Byrne!!!!

That last panel should be made into billboards and posted around the hometown of every new guy assigned to draw the X-Men. Hope that was a "damn I'm good" moment for you, JB, because those faces are PERFECT!

Watching these stories unfold day by day has been an absolute delight.
The skill set on display is both admirable and mind boggling.
The only change I wasn’t keen on was to Cyclop’s visor, the slimmed
down Cockrum version to me is quintessential John Byrne.
Today’s page changed my mind, an exceptional page and two of the
best renderings of Cyclops I’ve ever seen. He looks like your version
and not Neal’s if that makes sense.
