One thing I have always enjoyed is the way JB can draw gloves.

Well, and maybe... nita! As in Namorita; if she showed up someplace I'd think that was cool. That's what is a lot of the attraction too, seeing who shows up, especially when it makes sense that they would!

Whew! I'm glad that Oracle's message reached Gladiator before things turned deadly.

 | (Drawing these occasional crowd scenes makes me keenly aware of why Len and Dave didn't want to have to deal with "thirteen X-Men"!)

And speaking of such, just noticed a small bit of surgery necessary on today's page!

SEVERAL someones...? All I see is that Astra is missing... probably still tussling with Kitty. I count seven IG, and I figured Dark Phoenix took out the other twenty or so. Remarkable.

Mr. Byrne, to your own personal preference - in comics, do you prefer more cerebral solutions to problems, or do you like a knock down drag out winner take all sort of fight? Not to draw... really, not even to write, as just to plot. Sort of a Beast or Mr. Fantastic resolution, or a Thing or Wolverine answer?
Your art and stories suit either style - and you seem to be able to mix 'em up just fine. |

The quality of the art is sky high. Gladiator and Jean's faces, the group panel at the end, the swirls of the cape, and the little touches, like the energy around Hobgoblin to show us he's just changed back and the plasma around Impulse's visor.
