I can only see one character that shouldn't be in that last shot. Am I wrong?

Wolverine was, indeed, pulled downstairs. But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have walked back up.

As much as I wanted to see the Guard get beat, it's nice to see that they're not villains, just ethical beings with their own agenda. |

My thoughts - Scott does have a thing for red heads doesn't he?  Love Wanda being back to her old self where she changed probabilities instead of doing whatever the writer wanted her to do at that moment.  The face on the last Magneto panel fit the old pre-New X-Men look perfectly.  A casual 'I want to rule the world - duh, anyone with half a brain should know this' type of look.  A Magneto who wants to run everything for his people, but wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone in his path.  Looking forward to the rest of this storyline in the months to come.
Storm wanting to help it almost appears when she sees Gladiator in pain.  Fits the character of that era (before she went punk rock and was willing to nearly kill people).  Love Gladiator being super-confident in his team too, fits for a military leader who has powers that match Superman's - he demands perfection from himself and expects it from his team as well.  As others said, a Perez type panel at the end there with 15 characters in it.  I have to figure other artists are amazed at how both Perez (the ultimate master of crowds) and Byrne can do those crowd scenes so well.  I love when things are 'right' like Colossus being tallest, Wolverine smallest among the X-Men.  I really, really hope the MCU gets it right this time with a short guy hired to be Logan.
Thanks again for more fun stuff to read.  Both the pages and the forum. |

A little additional surgery, today, having decided Wolverine should NOT be in that group shot on yesterday's page.

Nice classic Superman abilities! Gladiator has not shown abilities other than flying and incredible strength over the years. If you are going to copy a character, copy him all the way! I bet he was raised by a nice old couple on a Shiar planet.

JB, how did you produce that image of Gladiator spinning in the last panel?

Gladiator has also demonstrated a clutch of Superman’s vision powers. I’m inclined to assume he has the whole catalog—tho, like other Legion members, I also take it that he is but a single representative of a race of beings like himself. The literal Krypton/Smallville elements I don’t see as part of his canon.

 | ••• Photoshop. A few decades back, drawing for an inker who would actually work on the physical page, I would have xeroxed the image, then flipped the copy and used my lightbox to trace it. Here in the 21st Century, technology made it even easier.
