Agree with Darren on the perspective.  Pretty neat to be looking at the top surfaces of buildings and structures.

On this page I reverted to something I started during my last sojourn with Spider-Man. I draw his nibs right way up, and the background inverted. I find this adds to the level of vertigo in the shot.

Great way to start the issue! Always fun to have Spidey and the FF around to help save the day. I just wish we could see the FF in the Black uniforms. Those rocked.

          What's the best way to kick off an X-Men / FF team-up ? A Spider-Man appearance of course !

 | ••• A small downside of the timeline as I’m portraying it in ELSEWHEN. The FF haven’t reached that point. (Altho I am largely eschewing what “really” happened, I am operating as if the rest of the MU is puttering along just as it did in the early Eighties. Which means by this point we’d be dealing with “my” FF, just not that far along.)

 | I'd have no problem seeing the FF in the Black uniforms nor would it bother me with continuity. Those black uniforms brought out a special distinctiveness with the FF that still cant be beat even today.

 | •• Yes it is--and you can see how I am choosing to play it. A series like ELSEWHEN has to have a certain degree of internal "discipline", or it unravels.

 | It s just so cool to see you draw the FF again. The FF have always been my favorites, and the stories you wrote on that series were incredible. Just the fact that you are giving us other marvel characters with Elsewhen is really fantastic, pardon the pun. And I'm not forgetting you brought the best marvel villain in now to mess up the X-men's lives. I am loving all the Dr. Doom scenes you have drawn into this series. It great to see all the interconnectivity with the X-Men and other characters from Marvel. This is such a cool series.
