There are times that I remember how much I appreciate the
self-described "Grumpy Old Guy".

JB: ELSEWHEN stands as irrefutable evidence that it’s never been about the money for me. 32+ issues created and posted FREE!

**

This is so irrefutable that I was astonished by how long it stayed relatively undiscovered. I remember many issues being posted before asking you if you'd received comments from other pros about the book --and, at the time, you replied "not a single one!"

Cut to: the New York Times!

Keep finding posts asking where/when to start reading ELSEWHEN. Okay, in desperation, this:

Take your copy of the hardcover and lay it face up on a firm surface. Open the cover. Turn the interior pages until you come to a multi-panel page with art and lettering. Start reading at upper left and continue until you get to the last page.

Yesterday, I alerted my buddy that missed out on the first printing that volume 2 is now up for pre-order. He told me that he already heard about it and ordered it the night before :)

Now we find out, I suppose, the degree to which the success of Vol 1 was affected by speculators.

Well, speculators are usually only interested in snagging first printings, no? I would think that anyone buying the second through fifth(!) printings are almost definitely actual readers since future value is not a consideration. I'm curious what the print runs of the subsequent printings are compared to the first.
