Secrets Behind the Comics: I've been making no secret of my shameless Neal Adams swipes in ELSEWHEN, but there is one element I'm not sure I have mentioned before. In order to allow for some degree of "originality" I have been swiping Neal's lighting effects, but not his actual faces. So the shading on that Thor face, for instance, is not from a Thor that Neal drew.
Shameless AND sneaky, that's me!!

Is it really a swipe if you are using lighting effects observed from another artist in an original drawing of your own?

I just realized I've been mentally "pronouncing" Gladiator's name as "Kal-ark" which is a total mash up of Superman's two identities.

And it didn’t come from me. I learned of it while doing a little OHOTMU research on Gladiator, making sure I hadn’t forgotten anything important.

Beyond that, no idea where it came from.
