Q. Speaking of the creative process, is there ever a time when an artist's color choices gets overruled or changed?
JB: Oh, sure. Working on JK4W I did a flashback story to Scott Free’s early days with the original Mister Miracle. In the first issue of MM’s own title the costume had been colored differently, and I wanted to play off that to underscore the flashback. My request was ignored. In NAMOR I asked for the new Master Man to have a deep tan. Somewhere between my request and the printer he turned purple. Etc. 封 I wonder if that oversight got corrected in the collected versions. I will have to check. Has anyone else checked this out?
