I actually find myself a little worried for the M-Men. Out of Magneto's frying pan, into the IG's fire.

This whole side story with Sprite and Astra has me time-warping back to a 12-13 year old brain eager to turn to the next page. She and Jean Grey were two of the first new X-Men characters I 'met' (in #131). I can almost smell the fresh newsprint!
Thank you for this feeling! :^)
Of course, hoping it works out. The X-Men are currently down two team members; Kitty and Logan. :^o

Why didn’t the Imperial Guard bring Professor X for this task instead of Jean Grey?

As strange as this may seem, I find myself thinking of the moms of our youngest mutants, Ashley and Pablo. I'd love to see more of how those two ladies are dealing with all of this!

Curious.  Just caught up and enjoying it.  There is a very big person missing who should have been brought up if they brought up the dead Alt-Scott and the live others.  I suspect we'll get an explanation soon enough that will make sense (I have 2 ideas on that front).  I have ideas on how Jean can save Sprite but as always 'no speculation', anyways I've normally been wrong anyways.

Next?  With each page I expect a shift to the 'real' X-Men or some other sub-plot.  Still find it funny how each page feels like a cliffhanger and how Mr. Byrne said that isn't his goal.

So adding Elsewhen to the Gallery and putting keywords in. Kitty Pryde is "Sprite" this first costume, right?   She changes to "Ariel" with her first costume change (away from the X-Men uniform) (in the published comics - who knows if she'll change her costume/alias in Elsewhen!) and "Shadowcat" with her next change.
