I don't know if its because I was told this place was at the center of the earth, but man I feel claustrophobic when I'm reading these panels!••• This base isn’t at the center of the Earth. That’s where Jack Winters was sent by Magneto.

JB,
You cut straight to the chase in stating that, in this alternate universe, Magneto is Wanda & Pietro's father.
Would be nice to see how that played out in this timeline. :-)

You’ll see some of it, of course, tho I didn’t feel a lot of backstory was needed. (I see Marvel has retconned away that relationship. A retcon on top of a retcon!)

I also liked the explicit pronunciation of Magneto spelled out! Should have happened long ago.

I like how Scott's reaction is "Um... who are you again?" Loved it.And Pietro once again gets to overreact to someone who shows Wanda any attention. This Brotherhood is getting off to a rocky start...

Shooter was the main opponent of the "Mag-neeto" prononciation. "That's part of a car!" he said, and insisted it was "Mag-net-o".The fact that Stan Lee, co-creator of the character, pronounced it "Mag-neeto" impressed Shooter not at all. (I pointed out that the NOT BRAND ECCH gag of "Mag-neato" wouldn't work if it was "Mag-net-o", but that had no impact.) Turned out to be one of the few things the movies got right.

This Brotherhood is getting off to a rocky start...•• Raising in my mind once more the question of whether they ever actually referred to themselves as "the Brotherhood of EVIL Mutants."

Probably not. I used it mostly because Magneto's team was called that, but I doubt they would call themselves anything of the sort. I'm hoping we'll find out a lot more about them, because this seems like an origin story that is... plausible, given how close Xavier came to death a few times before assembling his first class of X-Men.

Ha! So true. Perhaps only in the spirit of Samuel L. Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction carrying a wallet with him that said "Bad Mother ...", or a sly wink between them as in "We're so evil...aren't we dear?"
They officially call themselves "The Peoples Front of Judea".
:)
Also, @Tim --- your awful pun made me smile.
