Two days ago, I was watching some YT shorts, when I came upon one from "clownfishtv" that talked about Elsewhen. I was on the phone to my comic store (Dr. No's) before it ended. They had a copy. I was out the door before the phone cooled. The copy I got had been shrink wrapped, so not wanting to "unwrap it" I bought a second copy on Kindle.
John -- THANK YOU!
Please understand that it is because of you, that I ... and now my children ... read and enjoy comic books. You are the reason I started collecting WAY back in 1980, when a friend of mine convinced me to run to a 7-11 to get him a copy of X-Men 134...so I bought one for me too. It captured my mind, and I went on a hunt to buy your entire X-Men run. Then I hunted down your Space:1999, Rog-2000, Doom Patrol, Iron Fist, etc.. I collected up until I entered the Navy (it was hard while I was in the Academy...had to do it by US Mail). Deployment slowed things down...and marriage stopped it until I had kids. My Son (Nick) and Daughter (Sydnie) are both comic book fans, and it is all because of your fantastic work that captured the heart of a 14 year old boy, back in the 1980's.
So...when I heard Elsewhen was out, and I learned what it was...there was NOTHING that was going to stop me from getting it. I devoured it immediately. I found this website from your forward "What is this?", and immediately jumped online and continued to read the story. I read the first 27 "issues" that day, and the rest the next. It is everything I wished the X-Men had been after issue #143. To me, and mine,...it is now canon.
Again, I thank you! Reading your Elsewhen made me feel like I was 14 again, reading #134 for the first time. I can give no greater compliment.
