 | In a word, page 16 is savage. Now we have all weekend to ponder just how horrible Magneto will be to Wolverine.
By the way JB, the art thread is unlocked.

Wolverine definitely did some damage there, especially in panel 2!!

Though I don't envy him, given how Magneto may respond.
Edit to add: this was a VERY satisfying page.

no no.....I was saying that since the internet makes mountains out of the smallest mole hills, it doesn't matter WHAT you put out there, somebody is going to say something or be offended or be be shocked.  It's like you keep saying, the internet has created a billion soap boxes |

I was a bit uneasy about that Magneto panel at first, I'll admit.

"one of the things Chris wanted to include was a scene showing Storm was there too, as Magneto’s sex slave."
.....oooof course he did. He probably would have tossed in "part and parcel, body and soul" bit, also.
Anyhoo, then I remembered the time that Magneto forced Scarlet Witch to dance around for him in AVENGERS#111*. So it's not really a stretch!
*That was a very odd use of Magneto's powers, probably best that it was never mentioned again.
Speaking of Magneto's powers, is he able to fly on his own? Or is he just lifting the metal portions of his costume? |

On an earlier page I refer to him riding the Earth’s magnetic fields.

 | And I must add I am bewildered by anyone being “disturbed” by his actions. A few pages earlier he tried to KILL Cyclops. He threatens Storm with death. Are these somehow lesser crimes? Has everyone been drawn in by Chris insisting rape is “a fate worse than death”?

 | Well, sometimes (many times) a villain is supposed to do rotten things.  Magneto trying to get fresh with Storm should creep us out; Mastermind messing with Jean should make us feel awful; Shaw beating Storm unconscious in a brutal way should shock us.

This, of course, is why they are villains!  No one is condoning their behavior, and that's why we have our hero/heroines there to oppose them.
Knowing Ororo as we do, I'd bet she'd try to keep Logan from killing Magneto anyway.

Mentioning Mastermind and Jean brings up an important point. Today I am sure Chris and I would be condemned for what was, after all, a prolonged psychic rape—which we knew at the time.

Hey speaking of which, does Jean have all the memories of all of that?  I know she's in 5 year old mode and still feels love for Scott in that capacity, but did she retain memories of all the horrible things she did and that were done to her? |
