I think they are in the Sentinel's armor . I agree with what Wallace said.

Yeah, surely they are inside the Sentinel bodies.  Far more jeopardy in having to defeat foes who are actually your innocent friends in the flesh, just co-opted against their will.  Also, hard to imagine Shaw hasn't considered his tenuous position as a mutant whilst building this mutant hunting army and built in some sort of safeguard, but perhaps in this case hubris will be his undoing; we'll see.

 | Ah, good catch, guys - I see now. And it would make sense they are in the
armor, which is how they can use their powers directly in battle.

That idiot Shaw may regret removing the contraption from his head...

Could Shaw end up -- eventually -- hoisted by his own

 | petard? Perhaps, perhaps.

Another great page. Fun to catch up with the dastardly
mastermind and see his line-up of captured mutants.

Let’s just say I have long wanted Shaw’s exit to be... ignominious.

Thanks for the roller coaster ride, JB!  In three days, I’ve gone from “Uh-oh, Ben’s in trouble”, to “Gyrich better watch it”, to “I think Shaw might get what’s coming to him”.

By the time I was reading newspaper strips in the 1970s, my focus was more
on humor strips rather than drama or ongoing stories. I didn't really even care
for the newspaper Spider-Man strip - it felt too slow compared to the comics.
The daily dose we get of ELSEWHEN IS such a great way to experience the
story - part newspaper strip, part comic book, all awesomeness.

I would say the only ongoing newspaper story strip that I was and remain
invested in is DOONESBURY - I'm not sure if that counts as it is a hybrid of
humor, character based drama, and political commentary. I'm still a fan and
regular reader of DOONESBURY to this day. It somehow gets better and
 better.

I'm a bit confused about Gyrich realizing that Shaw's a mutant. I take it that Shaw threw him with super-human strength and that's how he figured it out? Time for me to understand Shaw's power a bit better, I guess. I had assumed that energy he absorbs from forces applied against him last for only a short period of time.

Something like what the master once said to the doctor?:
"I wanted you to die in ignominious shame and disgrace!" :-)
