Then "Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch" might be the most epic series to not star a character with an S on his chest.

That's a joke-- but it's funny how easy it is to imagine that JB would have made a huge impact where-ever he ended up.

If, by fate, DC had given JB a steady stream of work to keep him away from Marvel his entire career, that would have meant letting him cover 2-3 DC titles per month, with his storytelling and writing developing in that "universe." Being prolific, talented, and driven - it doesn't seem like it was only going to happen for JB if he was at Marvel.

If things had gone that way, it's interesting to speculate what title might end-up being unfinished and lead to a DC based Elsewhen... Maybe JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA?

 | Imagine this to be true. Wouldn't that be a rather dickish SPOILER?

I don't know why I thought today was Friday but I got a swift reminder that it wasn't when I checked the Fanfic page

 | If things had gone that way, it's interesting to speculate what title might end-up being unfinished and lead to a DC based Elsewhen... Maybe JUSTICE LEAGUE of AMERICA? A significant point to consider is that if I was at DC, and wielding the same kind of clout I then had at Marvel, I would have argued strongly against the whole concept of CRISIS! I thought it was not only a snobbish idea, but a bad one. (Some may recall that Dick Giordano originally offered me CRISIS, when it was still being called THE HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE. The idea then was to lay out the full "confusing" history of DC over 11 issues and then, in the 12th, blow everything up. The books would all begin with new "first issues the next month. That invitation came at dinner, at an Atlanta con, and Frank Miller, who was also there, immediately advised me to decline. He didn't have to. I told Dick my encyclopedic knowledge of DC and Marvel actually sprang from having the phone numbers of Roger Stern and Peter Sanderson!)

Looking at today's incredible page has me thinking that as much as I'd like to see this inked, it's probably a good thing no one has that job. It would probably be a beast trying to ink those energy effects created using the elecric eraser!

I imagine it's a lot like watching one of those fire tornados - except there are two of them, and they're pissed!
