Vinny - I have a few pieces where I used an overlay and put the balloons / title / whatnot on that, and then framed everything. Solves the problem without the shadowbox effect of having the balloons on the actual glass.

Annoyingly, I am seeing posts about this that insist on describing
ELSEWHEN as a project started for Marvel that “fell through”.
sigh

Yeah, and even when the announcements I've seen online actually get the
genesis correct. As we’ve discussed elsewhere, people are going to believe
what they want to believe.

Knowing the origins of the project and how you never really intended it for
publication, are you viewing this as a victory of sorts like we are?

Aha, I like that idea, thanks Jason!

“They say you can’t go home again,” said writer/artist John Byrne via a
press release. “They’re wrong.”

I love this.

For people whose most cherished dream is to work at Marvel, the idea that anyone might not want to travel that path is inconceivable.

I hope that page of Phoenix Walt inked makes its way in there somehow. It
deserves to be seen by the whole world.

Several pages will have “guest inkers”. Walt’s Phoenix page is one of them.

(Ah, how much I wish I could get George and Neal and Tom…)

... Very proud of the fact that I sprang organically from the JBF!

Congrats again, Paul! I know you've already inked a bunch of pages - will those be used?

A while back someone commissioned Scott Williams to ink a double-page spread that looked quite nice!
