Uhm…..?

[From elsewhere:] “Decades ago, John Byrne was part of an iconic run on the X-Men as co-plotter and artist, along with writer Chris Claremont and inker Terry Austin. Then, about seven years ago, Byrne, co-inker Paul Wills, colorists Lovern Kindzierski and Leonard O’Grady, and letterers Byrne and Patrick Brosseau, returned to those storylines…”

Can this writer really believe the inks, colors &c date back to the beginning of this project?

I just tried to pre-order volume 1 direct from Abrams and apparently it's already sold out there.  Hopefully, that's good news for everyone working on the project.  I'll pre-order from my LCS instead, as soon as I'm able to.

A guess... they've promised a certain number of books to their selling partners, and don't want to up the print run until they see how it sells there.

But yeah, nine months out, seems like you could make SOME inferences from initial sales in-house?

Mr. Byrne,

So excited to see your beautiful Elsewhen stories released as a series of hardcovers, and looking forward to buying each of them as soon as they are released. A few quick questions:

1. Will the final volume include any sort of commentary from you describing the resolution of the various plots?
2. For the die-hard John Byrne fans, will there be any opportunity to purchase a limited edition that has your autograph or remarque?
3. After these books undoubtedly do well, would you consider future books (e.g., Fantastic Four) for those of us who would love nothing more than to see more of your incredible work?

Thank you!!!

Kevin

1. I will be including a fairly elaborate text feature in Volume 3, wrapping up the dangling plotlines.

2. Yes

3. Abrams has expressed interest in more, done just for them. (Certain northern neighbors have been mentioned. Nothing definite.)
