And again! You've really hit a sweet spot with the art. Amazing consistency in how the characters appear. Really enjoying the way you draw Willy's family, for example. And I'm looking forward to finding out how the story resolves itself.

Wolverine looks like he’s about done. Fantastic last panel.

Yeah, I love that last panel with Wolverine and Cyclops. Such a great drawing of Wolverine, capturing the state he is in.

The artwork is so good it feels like its coming alive out of the page.  I'm clearly being a little over-dramatic but still - its just so bloody great

I'd stopped dropping in the comments thread here just to say the same thing after each page is posted, but this has been so much fun to follow!

 Thank you, JB!
I just hope Wolverine gets a little more to do, at some point. I realize you never intended him to get the spotlight he wound up getting throughout the MU all these years, but I hope he gets his moments. ;) |

Anybody else feel that I’ve been shortchanging Wolverine? (I don’t.)

 | Nope. Over the years Wolverine has received SO MUCH focus at Marvel, both in the comics and in films, that most people aren't used to seeing him not being at the front and center of every story and action scene with the team. It's nice to see the others get more attention again. I don't feel he's being shortchanged, I think it's that he is back to being represented more or less equally among his teammates.
On the subject of art, I find myself poring over each page admiring the detailed artwork. Sincerely, JB, you are firing on all cylinders here. I am readying myself for an art project of my own, and these pages keep inspiring me (though the project I am planning is nothing at all like the same subject matter). I am happy to have fresh John Byrne artwork to enjoy and admire!

 | As for Wolverine getting his "moments"... These moments stick out to me from the stories so far: Wolverine fighting Sauron. Wolverine getting roasted by Storm. Wolverine chasing Nightcrawler through the mansion. Wolverine slicing into the Sentinel. Wolverine fastball special move into the creature Willie created.
Wolverine seems to be getting a moment or two in each story, so far.

Wolverine hurting brings back the memories of why I liked him during the original run. He was tough and could take a beating. Not shrug off any and all beatings that would give the Hulk a tough time.

I would gladly have Wolverine blown up on page 2 of each issue to allow  the others to shine.  |
