I'm getting a Geof Darrow vibe from the space station. Nicely done.

For some reason I'm amused by all the BWS's visible underneath the, well, BWS. I'm assuming you decided after the fact "ah the heck with it, I'll do it myself." |

 | Uh-oh!   That 'other' space platform went up in a giant solar flare and I'm already getting the feeling that this one is going to meet a similarly unfortunate 'end'.
Really enjoying these stories JB and I look forward to each new page - artwork, words, layout and pacing are all excellent. Thank-you for taking the time in doing them and for sharing them with us.

So, I get to quote one of my favourite Babylon 5 lines:

 | And in a surprise twist:  nothing happens to the space station! (because it deserved a better end and got one) :-)

Nice splash -doesn't even need a Terry Austin ink!  (not that that's a bad thing either)

BTW, those who are aware of my love of the old DAN DARE strip in EAGLE may recognize a bit of a nod in that direction on this page.

"It deserves a better end": That doesn't sound very well and may explain why Mr. Byrne isn't using other already-existing space stations as Starcore One (last seen in this timeline in UXM #135)!

Yeah, I can see that now that you mention it. Does have something of the character of those beautifully-depicted Frank Hampson space scenes.

Splendid detail. Makes me wish for another run of "The High Ways."

And I'm with you as long as you don't destroy it with those cosmic bugs the "Lost in Space" movie - unbearable. "Doc Smith... Doc Smith... tell me about the rabbits - er, bugs." |
