Now I'm wondering if we're going to see Jean rescued from the bottom

Binge-read the whole 11-and-counting issues this morning. What a treat! Really so happy to be back with the team that feels like the REAL X-Men to me... and I LOVED the one-panel cameos by Alpha Flight!

About Lilandra: I'm not sure if that she has become evil so much as the Phoenix had been corrupted... and she is unable to resist or constrain it the way Jean did. That Jean Grey is one amazing woman.

In this version, the Phoenix is not corrupted. It/she is ancient evil.

I agree Andrew. However, Lilandra not telling the X-Men about the copy of Jean, brings her character into question... I'll reserve full judgment until after JB has finished the storyline though... All may not be as it appears.

I liked the fact that the Phoenix built a lesser version of Jean because that served the Phoenix's purpose. And even that Jean held out better than most would. Real Jean is a serious force to be reckoned with.

Nothing suggests the version of Jean created by Phoenix was “lesser”, at least physically.
