I hope your electricity is restored soon, JB. This is not the time of year to be without AC or at least a fan.

Nice art -- you already gave us a preview of the splash before, but that drapery is still just as impressive on second viewing. That's a suitable wicked depiction of Dark Phoenix's face leering over Scott and the depiction of the body language as she get blasted in the next panel is very impressive. Always impressed by how well you draw fingers.

Random comments: I'm missing Nightcrawler and I've realised that I find Storm's white eyeballs a little scary, at least in the most recently-posted pages. Dave Cockrum used to draw Storm with three "holes" per boot, as you have done in the past. I only noticed today that you have 5 holes per boot -- any idea when you made this change? |

Not a conscious choice. Surprised just now to google some older images and see there were just three.

It was only because I was checking Dave's character sheet for Storm and absorbing the arcana of how that poncho/cape works that I even noticed it (and noticed for the first time that lightning bolt on her costume just above her butt).

She has more than one variety of boot in her closet! |

Mix-up at the store where the X-men normally order their costumes.

This Storm is too nice to send the boots back, so she just wears them (despite the extra holes).

Post JB Ororo: someone's shoe store is going to burn down due to a sudden and inexplicable "Act of God", followed by some random body-piercing.

 | ••• I don’t think Dave intended that to be a lightning bolt.

I love hearing this, like the details have a life of their own.

I have noticed a distinctive change in the overall shape of Wolverine's mask
since your original run. Has that been conscious?

 | And before this turns into a scavenger hunt, let me point out that minor changes occur with characters most artists draw over a long span.

 | ----------------------------------------------- You're no doubt right -- that was more for want of a better word. On the character sheet, he refers to it by drawing it, so even he didn't have a word for it! |
