          I should perhaps mention that next month’s “issue” may explode some heads of people who take the WHAT IF? cover too literally!

          C’mon, Robbie! Surely you wouldn’t expect me to bind my imaginary story too tightly to an imaginary cover!!

          I'm happy to see you do whatever takes your fancy. I was just picturing those exploded heads!

          The bored with too much success immediately made me think of that Dr. Doom takes over graphic novel where he gains control but gets bored quickly.  Many obvious problems with that story, but the core of a need to keep fighting is core to Magneto here like it was to Doom there.  Much like the old viewpoint of the best soldiers are lousy in peacetime.  Doubt there is a ton of truth to it (I suspect many are thankful to not need to fight anymore) but the core skills needed to win a war are different from the ones needed to win a peace.

 Interesting to see Bobby playing with his ice on the panel - I suspect cleaners (and others) get sick of the puddles he'd leave everywhere.  If this was a comedy I could see Beast slipping on a puddle and then trying to kill Bobby over it. |

          JB: I needed to show Magneto’s victories were not without cost to his own side. Simple, really.

          It's the image, not the title that's off-centre.

          Back to the opening page... Having villains gathered around the monitor, rather than the standard version with the heroes looking on, gives it an extra edge.

 JB, I imagine the Alt-Magneto is physically somewhat older than the regular Magneto, as he wasn't de-aged by Eric The Red.

 =====================================================
 Geez JB!!
 It's bad enough to wait day-to-day on what will happen next.
 The month of March seems like the longest of the year.
 Then to tease about April's issue......  ;-) |
