Another writer couldn't grasp why JB would do such a thing, and quipped that he's (the writer) got an NFL Superpro story that he's been dying to revisit 30 years later.

JB's a member of the very tiny subset of comic book writers that are also accomplished artists. In fact, by page count to this day, JB is the #1 record holder in pages that are written and drawn by the same person - by a wide margin. I don't forsee that record ever being broken, given that for over 25 years straight, he was writing and drawing 2 titles per month at the same time, an output rate that any other writer/artist has barely ever acheived (I can only think of Jack Kirby from the early-late 70's).

The key point that was missed is that the origins of ELSEWHEN came from the artistic side - something this other writer could never understand or accomplish. 

It's also another case of a writer not understanding how another person could be more "noble" than they are.

Not to mention that X-Men is not Superpro. At least the panelist pointed out that Volume 1 sold out, so clearly there was outside interest besides JB's alone.
