Muir Island! Fantastic page - it's amazing what you are
doing with these pencils.

Agree. The nice thing about this format is that readers don't gloss over the art to get to the next page. With a page a day, we get to take our time and appreciate it.

I was wondering when that page would pop up. Page three with the scripting is very foreboding! Back in November of 2018, JB mentioned he had 12 issues figured out, but only three on paper. A short time later on November 15th he released the Muir Island image that we know now is page 3 of issue #4. I am still blown away that here we are starting issue #4 of this project and there are still roughly ten months of activity before us and that runway is most likely extended each week and month that JB releases more pages. We are only still barely peaking into this ongoing saga! Thanks once again, JB, for sharing.

These first three pages of  issue #4 are a masterclass in establishing atmosphere and mood for a story (both primary and 'background').

The sense of the weather simply bursts out from page three, as if you were actually there witnessing the clashing, stormy seas. Wonderful.

That Muir Island page is staggering to me. The rain cutting across; I stare at it and can't believe you did that with a pencil (and an eraser?). That is a page I dearly wish I could've watched you draw. Sorry to gush. Unbelievable. Better and better.

Agreed - it is so great to see Banshee again, and that's an
awesome first panel.

That first panel is me swiping Neal again--only this time I'm being "clever," and applying his shading technique to a different face from the one I was copying.

Good god, man! That first panel is one of the best faces you’ve ever drawn. And then that camera angle as he descends the stairwell. Faith and begorrah! This is Byrne at the absolute TOP of his game. Zounds!
