I mentioned a nod to Dave was upcoming. This is it!------------------------------------
The instant I saw the X-men floating in space, I was brought right back to the first back issue I ever bought: Uncanny #99, and that great splash page of the X-men floating in space. Was it intentional that you managed to use the three X-men that WEREN'T in that original Dave page?

Nice usage of Cyclops' *force* beams. Emphasis because too many people mistake them for laser beams.

… too many people mistake them for laser beams.•• As the tale is told, Kirby wanted Cyclops' beams to be BLUE. That might have saved a little trouble, over the years. Altho the same people who insist he can use them to start fires might be insisting he could use them to freeze things!

I run a club at the school I teach in that closely examines superheroes and their plot lines. For decades, I've used the "water" analogy to explain Cyclops' optic blasts. When questioned, I've brought the students outside to watch how a hose / water can be used to dig trenches and knock things down. Not start fires or melt things

First thing I noticed as well. My guess is that the lines on the other muscle groups all seem to run perpendicular to the muscle grain. The lines on the pectorals would be consistent with that theory. Did look odd at first glance however.

It is very strange how the mind works, at least mine, as soon as I saw the image of Colossus I thought of the Spider-Man
