"It's all fun and games until someone activates a mutant-hunting killing machine!"
Teens in this house would definitely cause this kind of trouble. SO glad they aren't such powerful mutants!

"(My father had told me of times in England when it had rained on only one side of the street. I’d thought he was pulling my leg until I saw this.)"
---
This happens in Florida quite often. I was in the car with my Mom once driving along a highway with a wide median. All of the sudden, the side we were on became a near-zero-visibility torrent, while the other side remained dry and sunny. My NY friends don't believe me when I tell them this incident.

Ashley, you jerk!! Don't mess with Kitty.
I love how clearly amused Ashley is with herself. There are a lot of smiles and laughs in this issue so far, and no two are alike.

Getting annoyed at the number of people on Facebook expecting Kitty to be Ninja Kitty.
15ish kids will still be 15 year old kids & Ashley looks like she is just that. Speaking as a youth leader, it is refreshing to see a youth acting like a youth - have a thought, act on thought.
What’s a consequence?

I think if I had to choose, I'd rather be chased around by a metal death machine than phased into the floor. I can at least conceptualize what being chased is like - what is being phased like? No idea, and I don't want to find out!

Glad your internet connection is back up!
I love the “expressiveness” of Ashley’s body language. Would a silent issue be something you would be interested in doing for Elsewhen?

I like the "rivalry" that JB is setting up between these two. It's kind of fitting that characters he created in each of his two previous X-Men runs are competing with each other in this third go 'round.
Edited to add omitted word.

Barely into the first hour inside the "new" home and already walls have been torn open.
Guess the old saying is true (even in relation to junior X-Men): "One thing about the X-Men, you can generally tell where they've been."

As for rain...
The wall of rain moving down the street is a very common South Florida occurrence. I used to love racing my bike down the street trying to escape it, and remember the joy of it catching me.
I was just there about a week ago, my brother and I flying in from NJ and NY, but arriving a half hour apart. We exited the airport to South Florida sunshine, but on the other side of the parking garage it was pouring. We headed out towards our favorite joint for lunch and quickly exited the showers.
We don't get that in Jersey, so it is always one of the 'treats' of going home. Brings back a lot of great childhood memories!

Moderately off topic (ish) --
This shouldn't count as speculation because none of us have any clue... but it sure would be cool if Banshee got to experience some catharsis. I'll just leave that at that.
But on a different non-related note --- can anyone please tell me if it was explained why Nightcrawler was losing the shadow on his face after the Sentinel fight? Was it because of the other-Nichtcrawler and the whole dimension-jumping setup?
"Our" Kurt was pretty discombobulated as that arc moved forward... but the whole face/shadow thing seemed to come and go without a definitive explanation (?) unless I missed it. And if so, I apologize.
Spooky action at a distance seems to apply here between the two Wagners, I just don't remember if it was flat-out explained as such, or it was just more of an inference.

The shadows on Kurts face are part of his powers. (PLEASE don’t ask why those parts of his face are not invisible!!)Being unconscious or drained would affect the amount of shadow casting. (It maketh not a whole lot of sense, I know, but—sorry, Dave!—there ain’t much about Nightcrawler that makes sense to begin with!)
