Agree with Joe, and the last panel really made my day!

That last panel gave me a zing up the spine like I was 10 years old again! YAY!

How is it possible to draw someone standing by themselves, with no reference for size whatsoever, and still make them look short?

Amazing work JB.

It's all about PROPORTIONS, Brad.

Something that's been sadly lost amidst all the cookie cutter shapes the characters have assumed over the years.

It's so great to see Logan's confidence restored like this. What a cool page – everything from quiet acting to a slugfest!

JB, you managed to wrap up significant events in Logan's life so smoothly. The number of pages used would not have even set up the main protagonists in a modern event book.

And for the record, you are the ONLY person to make the whiskers look good.

I'm surprised Col. Chasin could make the argument that Logan was trained and developed as a secret agent when he basically vanished into... on second thought, maybe he's the best dang secret agent there is, to disappear so completely!

But this leads me to figure that Chasin wasn't in charge of Dept. H for much longer after this.

I remember you talking once about a scene you imagined where Wolverine would be hands to a wall and forced to pop his claws through his palms.

In the panel where Logan and Mac are shaking hands Logan extends his claws with his wrist bent. This looks like what I always imagined that scene above would look like. Is this just artistic license and the wrist is in motion?

In the scene shaking hands, we should assume he popped the claws, THEN bent his wrist. Artistic license of another kind.

I love how the revelation of the Invaders stint explains one of the reasons why "loner" Logan would have been open to later assignments to Alpha Flight and the X-Men.  < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

Is it weird that I look forward to the wonderful little reveals like that more than the big ones?

The thing that threw me off the most of Wolverine's origin here is that the Hudson's found Logan in a warm forest instead of in the snow (as seen in various flashbacks). That scenery has been so ingrained in my mind over the years. However, I like that Logan wasn't all animalistic and barely human, instead living more like a Tarzan type of guy.

I also like how real world time passing has made Mac not being able to have been involved in the whole Weapon X project, keeping him firmly as one of the good guys. (I remember there was speculation for a while on if Mac was secretly involved with the events, somehow...and "discovering" Logan out in the snow was no accident.)

Anyway, I've been really enjoying these revelations to Wolverine's origin!
