LORD OF LIGHT
*****
Looked at two reviews and it sounds intriguing. Added to my lengthy wish list!

My father introduced me to LORD OF LIGHT. Being himself a Buddhist he was, naturally, intrigued by the notion of telling the story of the Buddha in a science-fiction venue.

I'm a big fan of his AMBER cycles.

I loved CREATURES OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS (I didn't know it was the inspiration for this cool title!!!).

I will definitely read LORD OF LIGHT!

A word of caution about LORD OF LIGHT: maybe I am just a big dummy, but the first time I read it I completely missed the fact that the second chapter begins a flashback that occupies much of the rest of the book. To say the least, I was confused!!

Just caught up on this issue (it was a lot of fun and some mightily impressive art throughout) and these comments... and find a lot of discussion of Lord of Light.

Just want to echo that the first time I read it, I also got really disoriented by the chronological jump in the narrative. I think I read it about 1.5 times the first time... And it only fully all clicked into perfect, smooth sense the second time around. I like Creatures of Light and Darkness, but Lord of Light is the best of Zelazny's books that I've read.

Back to Elsewhen: Doom is one baaaad man.
