Brilliant final page to a brilliant issue. The narrative flows smoothly from panel to panel, Ben has never looked so good and the sky-cycle's 'Kirby' overtones are gorgeous. We have a great cliff-hanger and the final two panels are a delight - the penultimate panel showing Kurt on the side of the building - and then the border of that same panel representing the building itself for the *bamf* out. Wonderful craftsmanship. Thank you, JB.

A grin :} and a frown [:{, within minutes of each other. Ben rescuing Johnny and Ben having the same voice (in my head) as he had fifty years ago (my time), made me grin like I was 10 again. And then the frown from realizing it is Friday and I have to wait until Monday for the next installment. Thanks JB.

"I still don't know what's going on..."

Me neither.

Good job, JB! :)

I like the bit of characterization on yesterday's page between Magneto and Doom - for Magneto, I'm sure encountering the Torch is a "shit your pants" moment (especially this Magneto, who has been established as a bit of a coward). But for Doom, it's just another day at the office.

Thank you, Wallace. I didn't want to be the one to tell him. There are enough Big Bad Byrne stories out there!

Thanks. I can pretty much guarantee Shooter would have ordered a gutter added between those panels.

What a wonderful issue!

How the hell did so much good stuff happen in such a small space? The drawing is just too good to be believed. The story has the makings of an all-time great arc.

I love the ability you've had (as long as I can remember) to make whatever book you're on (at Marvel) feel like the center of the Marvel universe-- even if it's multiple books at once.

When would that ability ever come in more handy than with some good old fan-fic? Thank you so much for this series.

I'm with you on that, Mark. Whether JB was delivering a story that was big or small (a la Puck's solo adventure), I always felt like it was the most important thing going at Marvel at the time.

JB, what is your opinion on having guest villains (villains who are signature opponents of another character or team) in a title when their main hero is not included in the guest appearance?
