RIP.
Big fan of his work and he must probably be THE X-Men inker.

Jim, I think he was a penciller (and quite excelent, btw) in Doctor Strange, inked by Terry Austin and not an inker.

Hadn't visited the JBF in a few days and I've only just seen this.

I didn't really know anything about Dan Green beyond his work, but I have known his name and admired his work for close to forty years. Needless to say, it's sad to hear of his death.

In my summer holiday of 1986 I was in a phase of fervent Marvel fandom and read and re-read those few Marvel imports that I had back then. Uncanny X-Men was rated near the top of my list of appreciation, with its art team of JR Jr + DG.

Later, when I realised John Byrne was a promise of quality, I sought out back issues of the Avengers. The inker was Dan Green... and I liked how the finished art looked.

Along with Al Williamson, my favourite inker for JR Jr.

Along with JB himself and a very select few others, one of my favourite inkers for JB.

I grew up on X Men and Wolverine. His inks were great! They've complimented many artists and superstars!! R.I.P Mr. Green !!!!!

I felt that he was easily one of JB's top 5 best inkers - remaining compatible with his changing style over 3 decades and never overpowering his work while leaving his distinct stamp at the same time.

Agreed.
