" Isn't the Marvel thing by JB's choice?"

No, not really.

You really can't go wrong with a JB Captain America picture.

How so, Joe? He said he won't work under Quesada, right?

Think about what Quesada did to make Byrne take that position. But it seems you are more interested in arguing. Bye.

Not really at all, but I think you probably are. Status quo for Joe.

I just think it's a shame when 6 or 7 year old grudges get in the way of great work, especially in a time when JB and Marvel could really help each other.

Here's a question for JB: You do commissions and paid comic work, and in whatever spare time you have you'll develop/maintain your skills with your own sketches.

Have you ever done a "big" project like a graphic novel or some "event" that was never intended to be published, just for yourself? We've seen some of the sketches and personal work, but what I mean is have you done a complete story just for your own amusement, and not for publication?

I can't recall ever doing work such as you suggest,
Pete. Outside of my sketchbook doodles, everything
I do is intended for eventual publication. It's
just the when and where that vary.

Amazing! Also, a natural crossover and the backgrounds done only in ink? WoW! I love that you show these commisions, thank you.

I can't work with people I can't trust. That's not a
"grudge", that's common sense.

John, I understand and respect your position, but if, someone who wronged you sincerely apologized and said they would not do so again, would you forgive them?  I have been burned before, and by friends, but I do believe in the concept of forgiveness.  I do not know whether anyone from Marvel has made any overtures to you, but I do hope that if they do, you will consider.  As a fan of your work and the comic book industry, I would love to see you work at Marvel again. Actually, my dream project is a DC/Marvel crossover book.

Hypothetically? If someone I can't trust said did that,
it would be meaningless, wouldn't it?

True John, but that's my point.  How can someone who has lost your trust regain it?  At some point, you have to give them another shot, which I realize opens you up to the possibility of being burned twice and feeling like a fool.  Hypothetically, is there a way for someone who has lost your trust to regain it?
