Anthony, Deathlock's real name is Luthor Manning.
••
Seems like he'd have to already know that, to know it was Russ Manning I
was referring to. . . . .

I didn't know that was Deathlok's name; I just assumed Russ Manning
because this was a comic book forum.

This a fun picture! I might have a bash at colouring it (I like Deathlok's scheme) for private consumption.

Geez, there is some nice work on this one. Love the thick line work on the bottom of the left arm. Just such a great job keeping a busy illo clear and readable! Great smoke and rubble, great layout, nice angled background framing...
cool.

Nice. My second favorite Deathlock behind Guice/Williams.

John Byrne makes ANY character he draws his own.
Great depiction of Deathlok (and nice rubble too)

I remembered this character when he made his appearance in that JM DeMatteis story arc drawn by Mike Zeck in Captain America back in the 1980s. I kind of liked that inner dialogue he had going with his on-board 'puter (as they wrote it). I have little recollection of what they tried doing with the character since then, save for a glimpse of something which tried to make him a contemporary of the current Marvel characters (doing away with the whole post-Apocalyptic future thing). Some ideas just work out best if they kept it as it was.
