At this point I feel that JB should work only on special
DC vs Marvel projects. Although not necessarily DC Heroes
vs Marvel Heroes: It never occurred to me before but a
Doom vs JLA book sounds exciting! Thinking about it,
Marvel almost has more interesting villains than heroes!

Think about the Injustice Society Vs The Brotherhood of
Evil Mutants!

Doom is great but I have to admit, I'm surprised more
people don't request Magneto as a villain. Maybe it's
because there is some nobility to Victor, and a sort of
aristocracy as well which is shared by characters such as
T'Challa and Namor.

And, again, great commission! I envy the customer. This
is one of those you can peer into for hours, which makes
it especially suitable for framing and displaying.

Looking closer I am moved to observe: at least Doom can't say he didn't get his cape mussed up.

This does make me wish Jb and Marvel could find a way to work together.
Nice work.

Technically, the drawing is superb, of course - look whose pencil it fell from
- but the subject strikes me wrong; I don't see Doom, even at his most
powerful and ruthless, able to so thoroughly trash Superman or Wonder
Woman, and I can't believe he could do that to Flash or Green Lantern,
either.
++++++++++++++++
Couldn't you see a scheme of Lex Luthor's temporarily trashing the JLA? If so
then Doom is no stretch. Just because Doom is there mopping up doesn't in
my mind rule out that off panel he has the Masters of Evil who did some of
the damage.

As stunning as this image is (and it is), as is often the case I'm drawn to the little things I see in the large version.  Looking at the star on Diana's tiara I marvel at how simply you render it as three-dimensional.  Something us mere mortals might agonize over...

Holey awesome Moley! Now that is why I long for a JB return to DC or Marvel! 'Course if that drawing was for me, I'd probably want Aquaman in there somewhere . . .

The thing I love about this is it really captures that
feeling and magic I felt looking at the "old stuff" as a
kid, but has all the skill of the new stuff. Epic
characters doing epic things is what JB does best.

I love all the little texture detail, from Doom's cape to
Flash's tore up costume... perfect. The rough metal texture
of doom's armor is awesome as well.

Stunning! The level of detail upstages Bolland and Perez!
