Great one JB.  Jason, what are you thinking about when it comes to framing?  One giant piece or separate frames?  Why not a large commission?  I know it's expensive for a big one all at once.  I really love them.

Man, I love your Hulk. When I can afford a commission, I want Hulk versus Man-Thing. My 2 fave Marvel characters.

"When youy ask for a commission do you specify just the characters or do you give more detail about the background, etc.? Does JB have a preference?"

******

My advice is to give JB as little direction as possible.  Just tell him what he needs to know to get the job done.  This character vs that character.  A reimagining of this particular cover or scene.  Only give specifics if they're crucial to what you want to see in the piece. Oh, and be sure to e-mail me ahead of time to discuss the commissions you are considering!  =0)

Brad - It is more of a space issue than price.  I can never be sure how much my better half is going to let me have on  the walls.  This way if I can only have a piece or two up I can just rotate them without taking up a whole wall with a large commission.

==================================================

I have just gave him the characters and preferred costumes (plus the interconnecting fact of the pieces) and that was it.  No certain poses or actions.  JB always comes up with something way better than I could imagine.

Plus, Joe is right.  He is great on commission advice!

… did you layout all the pieces first as thumbnails, JB?

••

Nope. Winging it, as the customer provides the cast for each.

=========================================

Wow!  I can't believe you're winging it.  The balance of the triptych is amazing.  Each piece alone is designed really well.  I can't wait to see the entire thing when it's done!  Thanks, JB, you truly are a modern master.

Nicely done as usual, JB.

Jason, have you decided what characters the other pieces will have?

Jason and/or JB - whose idea was it to mix-up the heroes and their usual villains?

I am, of course, in awe of the tremendous craftsmanship, JB, as always; the fact that you're "winging it" just pushes the needle on my amazement meter into the red zone, sir.

Wilson-  the other three pieces have been layed out character wise.  I think Jim sent JB an email with the line ups.  Plus, part 4 is in the queue!
