Curiously enough, btw, as I was drawing that part I found myself thinking of the original artist. How some anonymous, long deceased Mayan sculptor that chiseled it out of a piece of stone, and here I was, perhaps thousands of years later, copying it. _______________________ It's interesting, but the Greeks would recognize a buiding done by Iktinos, or a statue done by Praxiteles or Pheidias, or a painting done by Apollodorus; and all this in the 4th and 5th century BC. And yet, other cultures at the same time or later wouldn't. The artist in other civilizations would forever remain as an anonymous person.
