While the original is magnificent, chief, that variant is stunning - almost better than the original. Black costume Spidey through NVG, maybe? Fantastic piece, as always. Cheers, Mal

The plan with my Byrne commission collection has always been to get a nice representation of the main characters JB has worked on throughout his career without duplicating characters on multiple pieces....I may have to allow myself a black costumed Spider-Man as an exception!

Is that how Daredevil views his surroundings?

You've come a long way, JB, outstanding work. I'm always a fan of your nighttime cityscapes, and I love how EASY it is to pick out Peter's webline out of the background.

Super impressive. Really like the touches on inside the windows. Just adds more power to the piece.

Happy to admit this is mine (sounds kind of possessive, like Smiegel, "the precious is mine"). Can't wipe the grin off my face.....Your architecture has improved slightly JB....Wow. I love the simplicity of the original but the re-imagining is stellar! Thanks a bunch. Have one more in the queue. Christmas has definitely come early...

I still remember buying the original issue at my LCS in New Milford, CT years ago. That cover really jumped out to me on the comic stand. I still wish that the logo was colored black and white instead of yellow.... Congrats to the owner of this new piece!

I still wish that the logo was colored black and white instead of yellow....•• You and me both, Scott! A battle I fought and lost, I'm afraid. Part of an ongoing war editorial was having with the coloring department at the time. The insistence from the hue-masters that yellow was "brighter" than white. Frank had to fight the same battle -- and he won, fortunately -- to keep this cover from being all yellow instead of white…
