Nice, Brad!  When it gets back from the framers you'll have to resurrect the framed commissions thread!

I was sorely tempted to bid on this one. Congrats, Brad!

Well, I've had a chance to look at for the last 24 hrs and my appreciation grows.   When you look at it on the computer screen it looks really cool, but in person it's better.

This piece it is really meant to be looked at from a distance.  About eight feet is great, the angles of the background buildings really stand out with their depth of perception.  You really get a feel of Spider-Man soaring over the night sky of NYC. The other great thing about the piece compared to the original is the details of the windows.  While not anything specific is drawn, the illusion it gives off of a bunch of busy office buildings is wonderful.  To me the original cover that inspired this is downright dull compared to this recreation.

I love it.  While showing off  to the wife, she said she really liked it, but then she added, " I thought it was going to be bigger."    Sigh.

"I thought it was going to be bigger."

••

I will resist the obvious one liner about how many times I have heard that, and simply say I am now dreading someone being inspired by this comment to commission a reimaging of the same cover -- at 20"x30"!!!!

Thought I'd update this commission thread with a picture of Spider-Man's current home.
I really love this commission and think it looks really great up in my Brad Cave.  I really like how the orange helps the B&W art stand out.  Thanks again to Blair and JB for a wonderful piece of art.

I've had this for over a year now and I still love it. The piece just has such depth and beauty. I'm pretty lucky to be able to see this everyday. Great job, JB.
