Approx 11x17 inches

Inspired of course, by this classic cover…

All I can really think to say is 'Spectacular'.  Nice classic look to this one, JB.

Would make a good poster or cover to a Sinister Six TPB.

The villains look great. I get a very Ditko vibe from Spider-Man and that's always a good thing.

Edit: I hadn't seen the original cover when I started my reply.

The fluidity and movement in that piece is marvelous -- I'd swear I just saw Doc Ock's tentacle smash into the dirt and Sandman's arms shift!

No disrespect to Ditko, but this is an improvement over the original.

It's Grrrrreat!  What a treat.  A favorite cover re-interpreted.

Now, God-DAMN-it!  That, old or new, is EXACTLY what's missing from today's comics - a well-drawn cover that actually gives a scene from within!  The Big Two should try it every once in a while.

That Spidey figure is pure Ditko.

I don't know if you've ever drawn him with the black/ blue so open without any large blacks before.

I really like the touch with the webbing on his left leg/ foot. And your sig getting covered by the sand.

JB's rendition of the Sinister six is awesome.

And I loved Doctor Octopus' new look in CHAPTER ONE and ASM, but this classic Ock is in my opinion the best Otto Octavius JB has ever drawn!

holey moley...AWESOME!

I have an affinty for that comic.

The summer before 7th grade, I fell and broke my foot.

A good friend of my parents knew I was into comics and he gave me an "old box of comics from the attic." It contained about 100 Superman/Superboy books from the 1960s. All in pretty wretched shape.

Somehow, sitting in there in really good shape were (1960's) Silver Surfer #1, X-men #9 and Amazing Spiderman Annual #1.

It was like a gold mine!  I read them, and then later sold them to a local comic shop. This was the days before the internet. I think I got about $100 in trade for all 3 books.
