Great representation of Deathstroke (such a cool name for him),  and your Captain America is just about perfect.  They even look as if they belong in the same universe, which does not always happen with crossovers IMO.

Perhaps one way to guard against future inking is to include a certificate of authenticity stating that the commission is in pencil with inked figures and foreground.  It's not foolproof, but maybe some hypothetical future owner of the piece would think twice before doing something that renders the piece inconsistent with the certificate of authenticity.

And I should add -- since I forgot to do so in the comment above -- that the piece is spectacular.  I really like the interplay between the pencils and the inks on the figures.

Awesome piece, JB - surprises me that this technique wasn't asked of you sooner. ( Also refreshing to see Cap drawn the "right way".)

Wonderful technique.

Much as I like it in this context it strikes me as particularly well-suited to more "gothic" characters such as The Swamp Thing or Frankenstein's Creature ... or for Ditkoesque weirdscapes.

For some reason I was just thinking I'd like to see a similar piece between the Star-Spangled Avenger and Taskmaster... with Captain America shouting in mid-battle "Stop copying me!"

Ha.

The Taskmaster is a villain I've liked since first seeing him when I was a kid. Is he still heading up training schools for henchmen?
