You know, I never thought about that before, but they all did sport that look at the time, didn't they? Wow.

…you nonetheless mean the Jean Grey Phoenix when you're drawing the character.•• Whatever they might have done with the character since, I established that Jean and Phoenix were two separate entities, and THAT is what / mean when I draw them.

Goliath, Hercules, Iron Fist, Kraven, Firelord, Namor (in his "sharkskin" days).

Happy to respect that intention, Chief.

This is for me. Thanks, John. This is part two (part one is here) of my attempt to have John do all the Marvel characters that I think of definitive when JB does them. If that makes any sense. It's kind of early in the UK as I type this. These are the loners (apart from Heroes for Hire!) so I bundled them together to make the best Marvel Team-Up Annual that never happened. I realise my inspiration may have been here.

Doing some quick maths between five and eight parts. Ouch. Anyone want to buy a kidney? Hardly used... I may have to pass on the Great Lakes Avengers if the budget doesn't hold up...

I'd do the GLA next, just because they are in desperate need of commission love.

Yea, Ewan, I noticed it was last Sept. when the 1st commission was done, so I guess we'll see the last one in 2018.

Yeah, but don't read too much into it! It's not like it was meant to be a "Black thing". Plenty of White characters sported that bare- chested look, or some approximation. Goliath, Hercules, Iron Fist, Kraven, Firelord, Namor (in his "sharkskin" days). --- I agree that it probably wasn't intended as such. It just seems odd because only the Black Panther wore garb that covered his chest.

I'm really liking them both (thanks for linking to your first one, Ewan! Congrats on the great commission!)
