The thumb of Nightcrawler's left hand is miscolored blue, visible just below his ear, while the small curved space just past his two interlaced hands is colored white. This makes it appear that Nightcrawler's left thumb is not visible while his index, middle, and ring finger are, possibly the "three fingers" some are seeing in that picture.•• I don't think the "blue thumb" contributes much to the confusion. And that white space to the right of his hand is wrist of his glove. Note the red trim below, and beneath that the black of his sleeve.

One of my favorite coloring issues. I vividly remember the other kids in the comic shop claiming the artist "doesn't even know what side of Wolverine's hand his claws come out" when the issue clearly is a thumb colored incorrectly:
JB, I think it is interesting to see your write that you were "careful" about some portion of the image. A testament to your perfection.

The thing about that DD cover that threw me was, as short as Wolverine is supposed to be, who is he holding up? An elementary school kid?

This is a real cracker of a commission.
5 things I like:
- How you fill up the available space so cleverly
- The Vision's tattered cloak and the general 'battered' feeling you give by the specks and motes (and the rumples in the cloak; nice touch)
- The linked hands
- The wrathful look on Wanda's face
- The way her power is just beginning to spark into being
Very, very nice!

JB draws Wanda better than anyone else, including Neal Adams and George Perez.

Ha! How true. I like the energy in Miller's art... but I find it very odd at times. He makes odd choices.

Yikes! That's true!!! It really looked like a Miller cover to me.
And I still think Miller made some odd choices :)

That cover is all Janson.++ Yikes! That's true!!! It really looked like a Miller cover to me. •• Except for the basic structure, Frank largely disappeared under Klaus' inks. One of the reasons, I think, people were so surprised when they saw "pure" Frank Miller in RONIN. Why many fans rejected that series, and were so thrilled when Klaus inked THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, making Frank "look right" again.

JB draws Wanda better than anyone else, including Neal Adams and George Perez.•• Interesting you should say that. I don't really think of Neal when I think of the Scarlet Witch. She had only a minor role during his time on THE AVENGERS. In fact, the most he's drawn her it wasn't actually her, but Jean Gray wearing Wanda's costume!
